It’s Time To Settle The Debate About How ‘Nice’ Biscuits Are Pronounced
An age-old debate.
For years we’ve struggled with one important biscuit related question. How do you really pronounce Nice biscuits?
Is it pronounced "nice" like "mice", or is it closer to "niece"? Is it really just a "nice" biscuit to eat, or does it have something to do with the French coastal town?
It’s a question that has haunted Australia since the biscuits were first introduced in 1922.
We reached out to Arnott’s to settle this never-ending debate. It turns out that everyone who thought these classic Australian biscuits were influenced by the French Riviera was correct!
"They’re actually pronounced 'niece' after the French town. Although we always say they’re nice too," a representative for Arnott’s told The Hit Network.
Australia, you're welcome. Now go and enjoy your Nice biscuits.
