Police Release Image Of Man Wanted Over Algester Playground Assault

Police have released a computer-generated image of a man who could assist with enquiries after a 9-year-old boy was attacked by a stranger at an Algester park last month.

Around 4:15pm on September 25, the boy was playing with others children on playground equipment at Col Bennett Park when a stranger grabbed him by the throat, threw him to the ground and punching him in the face several times.

The boy managed to free himself from the man and run away, luckily he wasn't seriously injured.

The man is described as being 30 to 40 years old, Asian in appearance, with short black hair, and around 172 centimetres tall. He was last seen wearing a short sleeve purple shirt.

If you have any information on this case, please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
