Sydney Family Of Four Cause Of Death Revealed
UPDATE: A police source has told The Daily Telegraph that the family were believed to be deliberately gassed to death with a poison. It was allegedly released from numerous gas bottles throughout the house.
The police source told The Daily Telegraph that "there was a lot of pre-planning that went into this."
This has not yet been confirmed by NSW Police.
EARLIER: Police have released a statement regarding the investigation into the family of four who were found dead in their Davidson home.
Inquiries continue into the deaths of four people at Davidson yesterday.
About 11.20am (Monday 17 October 2016), police attended a home on Sir Thomas Mitchell Drive, following a concern for welfare report.
Officers from Northern Beaches Local Area Command forced entry to the home, discovering the bodies of a 44-year-old man; 43-year-old woman; eleven-year-old girl; and ten-year-old boy.
The bodies had no visible injuries.
A dog was also found deceased.
A crime scene was established which has been examined by forensic specialists.
Detectives from Northern Beaches Local Area Command commenced an investigation into the incident.
Inquiries continue, however at this stage police are not seeking any other persons in connection to the incident.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
